I love to connect with the public about astronomy research! I'm an active participant in the Caltech Astronomy Department's Astronomy on Tap and Public Lecture series, giving talks and participating in Q&A panels. Check out some of our recent recorded and virtual events here and our upcoming schedule of events here!
I'm an active part of Caltech's Graduate Student Council, serving as its Academics Chair from 2017-2020. As part of the Graduate Student Council, I was able to facilitate a graduate student research spotlight where grad students could share their research with alumni members of the Caltech community. I was also able to meet with the administration at Caltech to communicate grad student needs.
I'm a founding member and senior editor of the online publication Caltech Letters. Caltech Letters is a graduate student led effort to make science done by Caltech researchers more accessible to the public. We work with Caltech researchers to bridge the gap between scientists and the general public. We also give the Caltech community a platform to discuss issues within Caltech and the academic community as a whole.
